The Optimal Approach: Both, With Emphasis on Resistance

Cardiovascular exercise: 2–3 sessions per week of moderate-intensity cardio (walking, cycling, swimming) for cardiovascular health and general fitness. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) 1–2 times per week provides cardiovascular benefits with less time investment.
